City to Host Job Fair May 9

The City of Evansville will host a job fair next month, attempting to connect job seekers with available positions in Evansville city departments.

The fair, scheduled for 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 9, will take place in the courtyard behind the Civic Center. In the case of rain, the event will move inside to the C.K. Newsome Community Center.

"At any given time, there are numerous opportunities available to work in Evansville's city government," said Tamara Payne, the city's Executive Director of Human Resources. "This job fair provides a platform for job seekers to explore different career options, and for city departments to showcase job opportunities."

Job seekers who attend the fair will have the opportunity to speak directly to the departments who are hiring, with kiosks on-site where they can apply for positions.
