Embankment Stabilization Project to Begin on Route 87 in Upper Fairfield Township, Lycoming County

Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised an embankment stabilization project is set to begin next week on Route 87 in Upper Fairfield Township, Lycoming County.

On Monday, April 1, 2024, the contractor, LTT Trucking, LLC, will begin stabilization work on the embankment along Route 87 between Route 973 (south of the Slabtown Bridge) and north of the Loyalsock Hotel in Loyalsockville.

Motorists can expect periodic delays with single lane conditions at the start and end of the project. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained for majority of the project. After construction, the roadway will return to the original alignment.

LTT Trucking, LLC, is the prime contractor for this $1.1 million embankment stabilization project. Work includes stabilization of the existing embankment using a tangent pile wall. The project is anticipated to be completed in the summer of 2024, weather permitting.

Motorist should be alert, slow down, and drive with caution in the area.
