Tashkent hosted an International conference dedicated to the national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev

On May 15, 2023, the International Institute for Central Asia hosted an International conference on "The role of Heydar Aliyev in the development of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national leader of Azerbaijan.

In his welcoming speech, the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bobur Usmanov noted that in our country the memory of Heydar Aliyev, who was a sincere friend of the Uzbek people and made a great contribution to strengthening historical ties and cooperation between the two states, is treated with special respect.

Thanks to the political will of the leaders of the two countries in recent years, the Uzbek-Azerbaijani comprehensive cooperation continues to develop successfully and be filled with new practical content in full accordance with the spirit of strategic partnership.
