Bangkok, 5 September 2024 - A strategic collaboration between TrueBusiness, a leader in comprehensive communications and digital solutions for enterprises, and Intel, the global technology leader, is set to transform Thailand's healthcare industry into a fully digital ecosystem. This initiative harnesses True's robust 5G network capabilities and Intel's advanced AI technologies to introduce seven new smart healthcare solutions to improve the diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and patient data management in hospitals and healthcare agencies in Thailand. The collaboration not only streamlines the Thai public health system, making it more efficient and cost-effective but also positions the country as a competitive medical hub in Southeast Asia, ultimately elevating the quality of life and health sustainability for the Thai people.
This collaboration will see the deployment of Intel® software solutions such as OpenVino providing edge AI in healthcare solutions that support diagnosis and treatment times. Through continuous and secure monitoring using 5G and edge analytics powered by Intel Edge AI on Intel Core Ultra, Patient-Management-as-a-Service can extend the support coverage provided by medical providers. This is part of Intel's push to bring AI everywhere, particularly through its comprehensive portfolio of products and platforms designed to deploy AI in a secure, sustainable, scalable, and interoperable way that helps to improve lives.
True5G network enables real-time data transmission, control, and command, facilitating the development of various automated systems in patient care. These innovations help reduce costs associated with medical equipment and treatment procedures, while also alleviating the workload of medical personnel. Additionally, smart healthcare solutions record treatment data digitally, allowing AI to perform in-depth analysis and work alongside medical diagnoses made by doctors and specialists. This enhances the ability to provide fast and accurate patient care, especially for complex and acute conditions, leading to more effective treatment and improved outcomes.
Mr. Pichit Thanyodom, Chief Business Officer, True Corporation Plc. said, "TrueBusiness is accelerating the development of innovative services while integrating AI to enhance organizational capabilities. By partnering with global leaders like Intel, TrueBusiness aims to create tangible and practical solutions to support Thai businesses in their digital transformation. This effort aligns with True Corporation's vision to be more than just a network infrastructure provider, expanding into a technology leader."
This collaboration focuses on integrating and driving the functionality of smart healthcare solutions that encompass diagnosis and treatment, rehabilitation, and medical data management, to elevate Thailand's medical and healthcare industry and enable doctors and medical personnel across hospitals nationwide to deliver more accurate, timely, and high-quality medical services. Simultaneously, this initiative ensures that patients, throughout the country, have comprehensive access to public health services, providing enhanced experiences and better outcomes for a sustainable quality of life and health for the Thai people. In doing so, TrueBusiness and Intel aim to promote scientific discoveries and enhance the effectiveness of healthcare services grounded in the ethical, safe, and transparent use of AI.

Proving Results with Two Case Studies from Real-World Use*
Typically, pathologists take up to 2 weeks or more to analyze tissue samples for various diseases, especially cancer, particularly if the hospital is in a remote area with a shortage of specialists and medical equipment. This delay can lead to untimely treatment and an increased risk of disease progression. The Pathology as a Service solution introduces an AI platform for analyzing pathology images, which reduces analysis time to just 5 minutes and enhances research accuracy. Pathologists can share digital pathology images with global teams working remotely, facilitating real-time collaboration and consultation on patient treatment. This addresses the global shortage of pathologists, particularly in Southeast Asia. Importantly, Pathology as a Service also promotes collaboration in the development of new medication and advancements in pathology.
Enhancing the patient rehabilitation experience through close monitoring without disturbing their rest. This eliminates the need for multiple physical medical devices attached to the patient's body, allowing patients to move more comfortably. At the same time, doctors and medical personnel can improve patient care with the Digital Patient Twin solution. This uses various body measurement tools and detects emergency events for patients on bed rest with sensor devices that transmit live streams and process data using intelligent AI systems. Emergency alerts are sent out, leading to timely and appropriate decisions. This reduces the workload and procedures required in clinics or patient wards and helps address the shortage of doctors and medical personnel. With this solution, one medical personnel can care for up to 10 patients, compared to the previous need for an average of 3 nurses per 10 patients.
