Stopover: to discover Portugal on the go and on the round trip

The Stopover programme has been improved with more advantages to allow customers to discover even better and explore Portugal before heading to the final destination. And now, also on their return home.
TAP passengers can add Portugal to the trip with a free stopover of up to 10 days, with exclusive offers and discounts at over 290 partners that will make their visit unforgettable, from hotels, restaurants, shopping centres, museums and countless activities, in a partnership with Turismo de Portugal.
Stopover passengers also have a 25% discount for an air trip within Portugal, to discover tourism regions such as Porto and the North, the Algarve or Madeira and the Azores, through a promotional code that can be used on TAP's website (www.flytap.pt) or at travel agencies.
The Stopover programme has the Company's main long-haul markets, namely the Brazilian and North American markets, as its main target, but is available for all markets in which TAP operates.
Currently, TAP links Europe with 11 destinations in Brazil from Lisbon and Porto, flying to São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Belém, Belo Horizonte, Brasília, Fortaleza, Natal, Maceió, Porto Alegre, Recife and Salvador. On flights to the United States, TAP flies to Boston, Chicago, Miami, New York, San Francisco and Washington. You can find out about the Stopover programme campaign here.
The Portugal Stopover Programme, launched in July 2016, allows Passengers whose final destination is not Lisbon or Porto, but who make a stopover in one of these cities, to enjoy, on the outward or return leg, a stopover in Portugal - which can now be up to ten nights - at no additional cost in the fare.
Turismo de Portugal joins this TAP initiative for the contribution of the stopover programme to encourage more passengers to visit Portugal and discover various regions of the country, taking advantage of the opportunities and benefits that the programme offers, and also relying on the excellent collaboration of the regions to build an attractive and diverse journey.
