Injured residents identify arson suspect from overnight fire

Nashville Fire Department Investigators are looking to speak with a man in connection with a house fire that happened at 3509 Brick Church Pike, on Monday May 17, 2021.

Justin Webb, approximately 22 years old, has been identified as the third occupant that resides at 3509 Brick Church Pike.

Around 4 a.m. on Monday, May 17, 2021 Metro DEC Dispatchers sent NFD personnel to 3509 Brick Church Pike for a building fire. Crews found heavy smoke and flames coming from one side of a residential duplex. The fire was extinguished but caused heavy damage to the residence.

Nashville Fire Investigators responded to the scene and have determined the cause to be incendiary in nature and intentional set.

There were 3 occupants home at the time of the fire. Two occupants escaped from a rear window, each sustaining injury and were transported to the hospital. The third occupant fled the scene and investigators are looking to speak with him.
