UW Department of Music to Host Stellar Brass April 22

The University of Wyoming Department of Music will host Stellar Brass, an ensemble of the United States Air Force Academy Band, Monday, April 22, at 5:30 p.m.

The free public concert will take place in the Buchanan Center for the Performing Arts recital hall.

Described by the International Trumpet Guild as "an ensemble full of variety, panache and virtuosity," Stellar Brass is an original and innovative brass ensemble that performs a broad range of eclectic, musical styles. The ensemble is dedicated to providing unwavering support for the training of the Air Force Academy cadets and to the unique telling of the Air Force story nationwide.

Stellar Brass has represented the United States Air Force as musical ambassadors through internationally distributed audio and video recordings and broadcasts. Additionally, ensemble members are nationally recognized and respected as clinicians, presenting university, college and high school master classes.

Stellar Brass members are Tech. Sgt. Michael Hill, horn; Tech. Sgt. Ryan Spencer, trumpet; Tech. Sgt. Jack Kurtz, trumpet; Tech. Sgt. Joseph Hudson, trombone; Tech. Sgt. Dillon Jefferies, tuba; Tech. Sgt. Kathryn Yuill, percussion; and Tech. Sgt. Ben Paille, trumpet.
