Delegation led by Alen Simonyan Meets with the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland

The delegation led by the NA President of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan met with the Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland Alicia Kearns.

At the meeting a talk was held on the possibility of beginning direct communication between the parliamentary profile committees, particularly, between the Foreign Affairs Committee of the UK Parliament and NA Standing Committee on Foreign Relations.

During the meeting the imperative of sending International Mission to Nagorno Karabakh and to the Lachin Corridor and ensuring unimpeded access of the international humanitarian organisations was underscored.

Speaking about the security and peace of the region, at the British colleague's request, the RA NA President gave details about the humanitarian and other problems caused because of the Lachin Corridor crisis. Reference was made to the Azerbaijani continuous aggression against the territorial integrity of Armenia.

Alicia Kearns informed about her upcoming visit to the United States, noting that there during her official meetings she is ready to discuss the abovementioned security issues.
