Lakeshore Birding Walk at 9:30 a.m.

• Registration REQUIRED at tinyurl.com/eom2025-lakeshore by February 5.
• Free, but limited to 20 people (NO walk-ups!).
• Fairfax State Recreation Area, Swimming Beach

Even when the lake is frozen, water birds flock to this area, thanks to bubblers around the nearby marina that maintain an area of open water. Join Cathy Meyer, an experienced birder and former Monroe County Parks naturalist, to search for gulls, coots, ducks, loons, eagles, and more during this 1-hour stroll along the shoreline. Bring your binoculars and dress for the weather!
