The first stage of the district competition of the Games-2021 Suvorov Attack was completed at the Prudboy training ground in the Volgograd region

Within the framework of the district stage of the Games-2021 competition Suvorov Attack, held at the training ground of the Southern Military District (SMD) Prudboy in the Volgograd region, motorized rifle platoons completed the execution of fire tasks with overcoming the route with natural and artificial obstacles.

As part of this stage, motorized skirmishers on standard equipment had to overcome 11 obstacles, including a maneuvering area, a mound, a fire strip and others. In addition, the track is equipped with two sections for target shooting, imitating an infantry fighting vehicle, a helicopter and a grenade launcher crew.

The uniqueness of the qualifying stage in the SMD this year was the participation of crews on BMP-3 infantry fighting vehicles and BTR-82A armored personnel carriers on a par with the crews of BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles that competed in the competition previous years. The pioneers on the route were the crews of the BTR-82A of the 8th combined arms army of the SMD.

Ahead of the participants of the district stage of the competition Suvorov Attack is waiting for the relay of motorized rifle platoons. The division that showed the best result at the end of all stages will represent the district at the all-army stage of the competition. The competition will end on March 27.

In total, about 100 military personnel from the Rostov and Volgograd regions, the Stavropol territory, the Crimea, as well as from the republics of the North Caucasus take part in the competitions.

This year, the competitions are held in the presence of spectators and fans. On the eve, all participants of the competitions of the Army International Games of the SMD were vaccinated against coronavirus infection. Spectators are advised to wear medical masks in the stands.
