PHOTO RELEASE: Governor Hogan Tours New Mass Vaccination Site at Frederick Community College

ANNAPOLIS, MD-Governor Larry Hogan today toured one of the state's newest mass vaccination sites, located in Frederick County on the campus of Frederick Community College.

The governor was joined by Secretary Dennis Schrader of the Maryland Department of Health, Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner, Frederick County Health Officer Dr. Barbara Brookmyer, and Brigadier General Janeen Birckhead, head of the Maryland Vaccine Equity Task Force.

The site is administering over 800 vaccinations today. On Tuesday, Maryland surpassed the milestone of administering more than 4 million COVID-19 vaccines. As of today, more than 82% of Marylanders 65 and older and nearly 56% of Marylanders 18 and older have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.

All Marylanders 16 and older are encouraged to pre-register for an appointment at a mass vaccination site by visiting covidvax.maryland.gov.
