Free composing workshop for Hawkesbury residents

Hawkesbury City Council's sustainability team is inviting Hawkesbury residents to a free composting workshop on Wednesday, 3 April 2024 from 11am to 1pm at the Tebbutt Room, Deerubbin Centre, 300 George Street, Windsor.

Sustainability Educator, Margaret Mossakowska from Moss House will explain how to create compost including cold and hot composting in small bins or large compost bays, trench composting, no-dig gardening or 'lasagne' method, animal manure disposal, as well as the benefits of worm farms and worm towers.

Come along, listen and ask questions, and learn how to process your kitchen and garden waste to improve your garden and ask questions. Whether you are already composting or are considering starting - this workshop is for you!

The workshop is provided free of charge to residents of the Hawkesbury Local Government Area. Book early as places are strictly limited, and it is anticipated that the workshop will reach full capacity.
