O’Halleran Announces Over $4 Million in ARP Funds Headed to Community Health Centers in Arizona

WASHINGTON - Today, Congressman Tom O'Halleran (AZ-01) applauded over $4.5 million in American Rescue Plan funding to support community health center infrastructure in Arizona's First Congressional District reaching hospitals and care facilities

"For over a year, community health centers have played a vital role in our COVID-19 response, especially in rural and medically underserved areas," said O'Halleran. "I'm glad to see funding I worked to secure will assist in expanding the services our community health centers are able to provide, and ensuring hardworking doctors, nurses, and staff have the resources they need to keep Arizonans safe and healthy, regardless of where they live."

Health centers will use this funding for COVID-19-related capital needs, constructing new facilities, renovating and expanding existing facilities to enhance response to pandemics, and purchasing new state-of-the-art equipment, including telehealth technology, mobile medical vans, and freezers to store vaccines. Grant funding awarded was secured under the O'Halleran-backed American Rescue Plan.
