Temporary lane and ramp closures tonight on I-44 in Phelps County…

Eastbound driving lane closed from MM 186 to 195

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. - The right-hand (driving) lane of eastbound Interstate 44, near Rolla and St. James, will close tonight, April 26, 2024, for towing services. The left-hand (passing) lane will remain open.

A towing company, under a MoDOT-issued permit, will close the driving lane of eastbound I-44 from mile marker 186 to mile marker 195 in Phelps County. The lane closure will be in place overnight Friday, April 26, from 6 p.m. until 12 a.m.

The overnight closures will restrict access at the following eastbound exits:

• Exit 186 - no access to eastbound I-44; ramp from eastbound I-44 open.
• Exit 189 - no access to or from eastbound I-44.
• Exit 195 - no access from eastbound I-44; ramp to eastbound I-44 open.

MoDOT asks all motorists to work with us by buckling up, putting your phone down, obeying all traffic signs, and slowing down and moving over in work zones.
