Where: Missouri Route 14 between west of Village Drive to east of Route PP and Christian County Route PP between Route 14 and Cherry Street in Sparta

When: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, until June 4

What: Contractor crews to upgrade sidewalks to conform to Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements, including replacing sidewalks, and installing ADA compliant ramps and culvert replacements. From Monday, April 29-Friday, May 3, South Avenue will be CLOSED in Sparta as crews remove and replace the approach to Route 14. This is part of a project to upgrade sidewalks along various routes in Christian & Lawrence Counties.

Traffic Impacts:

• Drivers may encounter flaggers and lane drops where crews are working:
• • Missouri Route 14 between west of Village Drive to east of Route PP in Sparta
  • Christian County Route PP between Route 14 and Cherry Street in Sparta
• Route 14 and Route PP Open during construction
• Driveway concrete replaced in half sections and temporary gravel driveways will be provided to allow access to the property
• South Avenue CLOSED April 29-May 3 for Route 14 approach replacement
• Drivers urged to find alternate routes
• No signed detours are planned
• Check MoDOT's Traveler Information Map for road closings/traffic impacts
