Higher education through cooperation

The summer school is the result of a collaboration between five higher education institutions in the Turku region. Turku Turku Summer School will be held 5.-16.8.2024. The content of the summer school courses has been selected from the top expertise of the higher education institutions, and the courses can be included in the participants' own higher education degrees. The prices of the courses have remained reasonable for the participants, and the prices of the courses vary between 50 and 75 euros.

The range of courses is diverse and in 2024 we will offer 18 summer school courses. There are online and on-campus courses that have received excellent feedback from students in previous years. Almost all participants would recommend the summer school to their friends.

Counterbalance to studies: Sustainable Social Programme

The summer school program is not just limited to coursework and learning. Turku Åbo Summer School offers an optional social program that gives students the opportunity to participate in various environmentally friendly activities in the Turku region. Students from partner universities participate as program tutors in the social program, which allows international summer school students to explore the city and surrounding areas alongside locals.

The summer school brings international expertise to the region

Turku Åbo Summer School further strengthens the City of Turku's reputation as a center of education and student life, while promoting excellence in the region. Organising summer school education is a concrete measure to promote Turku's competence and internationalisation. The summer school is partly funded by the Study in Turku network, which is a cooperation network between the City of Turku and five higher education institutions in Turku that makes Turku the most interesting and attractive student city in Finland.
