Fatal Hit-And-Run Collision - 3900 Block of Roseville Road

On Thursday, February 13, 2025, just after 07:15 a.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the 3900 Block of Roseville Road for a report of an adult male who was down in the roadway. Responding officers located the male and Fire personnel pronounced the male deceased on scene. Officers believed that the male was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle involved fled the scene prior to police arrival.

Due to the circumstances, our Major Collision Investigation Unit (MCIU) detectives and Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) responded to take over the investigation. They processed the scene, canvassed the area, and interviewed any witnesses. The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.

The Sacramento County Coroner's Office will release the identity of the deceased after next-of-kin have been notified.
