This spring, The Peninsula New York is thrilled to present a selection of works by artist Jim Lambie (b. 1964), an artist from Glasgow, Scotland. Lambie's sculptures and artworks are currently displayed in the hotel lobby and reference music, often drawing from his own experience in the Glasgow music scene. The highlight of the exhibit is the floor installation, Zobop, which transforms the Palm Court using just one simple material: continuous lines of multi-colored vinyl tape, laid in concentric circuits of the room from its outside edges to its center, surrounded by a wall installation called Screamadelica.
