Participation of Minister Tajani at the Commemorations for the 30th anniversary of the death of Senna and Ratzenberger

Tomorrow, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Antonio Tajani, will participate in Imola at the Commemorations for the 30th anniversary of the death of Formula One drivers Ayrton Senna and Ronald Ratzenberger, together with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federative Republic of Brazil, Mauro Vieira, and the Minister for European and International Affairs of Austria, Alexander Schallenberg.

The institutional ceremony, which will also be attended by the President of Formula Imola S.p.A., Gian Carlo Minardi, the President of the Emilia-Romagna Region, Stefano Bonaccini, the President of ACI, Angelo Sticchi Damiani, and Roland Ratzenberger's father, will include a minute's silence at 2:17 p.m. and the laying of flowers at Curva Tamburello and then at Curva Villeneuve.

"Tomorrow at Imola we will remember Senna and Ratzenberger, whose tragic end saddened millions of passionate fans around the world. Their sporting dream remains alive today and unites countries, building bridges between peoples", said Deputy Prime Minister Tajani.

On the sidelines of the commemorations, Minister Tajani will hold bilateral talks with Brazilian Minister Mauro Vieira in which the main bilateral issues will be discussed, as well as points of convergence on the priorities of the G7 and G20 presidencies.
