Open Enrollment, Guide Corrections, WEA Trust Member Action Required

Open Enrollment September 26 to October 21, 2022

The annual health benefits open enrollment period for plan year 2023 is here! From September 26 through October 21, 2022, you can elect to switch health plans, change your coverage levels, or add/remove dependents effective January 1, 2023.

Visit the Insurance page of the Department of Employee Trust Funds website to view details about your 2023 health benefits. You can also watch the Open Enrollment Preview video that highlights important changes for plan year 2023.

WEA Trust No Longer Available - Action Required

WEA Trust will no longer offer health insurance as of December 21, 2022. This change affects all current WEA Trust network areas and plans. Members must select a new health plan during the open enrollment period to have coverage for plan year 2023. See the 2023 Insurance Changes page for more information.

2023 Decision Guide Corrections

There are two errors in the 2023 health benefit decision guides that members should be aware of. Corrected versions of the 2023 health benefits decision guides are available on the ETF website.

  • The phone number for Delta Dental was misprinted on the Dental page inside most guides. The correct number is 1-844-337-8383, as shown on the back cover.
  • In the guide for state retirees (ET-2108), incorrect rates were printed on page 16 under Medicare All for IYC Medicare Advantage and Medicare Plus by UnitedHealthcare. These errors do not affect all retirees. The correct rates are shown in the table below.

Well Wisconsin Incentive Deadline: October 14, 2022

Join thousands of other State of Wisconsin employees and retirees who participate in the Well Wisconsin program! Complete three activities by October 14 to earn a $150 incentive and be on the way toward better health:

  • Health assessment.
  • Health check: complete a biometric screening, health care provider form, dental cleaning, or one coaching call.

State of Wisconsin Group Health Insurance Program subscribers and their spouses can log in to their Well Wisconsin account at webmdhealth.com/wellwisconsin to complete the health assessment and check their progress!
