Statement about the Interim Measure Imposed on Krea İçerik Hizmetleri ve Prodüksiyon AŞ According to Article 9 of the Act no 4054 on the Protection of Competition. (8.8.2023)

In the Competition Board Meeting on 03.08.2023, the following final decision numbered 23-36/675-230 on implementing an interim measure per article 9 of the Act no 4054, for the continuation of the interim measure implemented according to the Board decision dated 29.09.2022 and numbered 22-44/652-281 concerning the timing of broadcasting match highlights in terms of 2023-2023 season, which is going to begin on 11.08.2023, was taken:

"In order to prevent likely competition infringements and irreparable harms that those infringements may cause in the market for Broadcasting Rights for Türkiye Super League and First League Matches, an interim measure decision shall be taken that before the broadcasting organizations which have bought or want to buy the broadcasting rights for 2023-2024 football season of Krea İçerik Hizmetleri ve Prodüksiyon AŞ, every week and on the basis of each match broadcast to the audience, broadcasting of extended highlights and news videos by any broadcasting organization before the time period set in the specifications for news videos shall not be allowed"

the measure in question shall be realized following the notification of the reasoned decision, with the decision subject to appeal before Ankara Administrative Courts within 60 days as of the notification of the reasoned decision.
