Tempe This Week - April 8, 2024

Sexual Assault Awareness Month raises critical awareness about the impact that sexual violence has on children, youth, adults, and families in our community, and spotlights the wide range of resources available through Tempe's Community Health and Human Services Department, Tempe Police Department and Tempe Fire Medical Rescue

Tempe's CARE 7 Victim Services team served 360 individuals and families who reported sexual violence, including child sexual violence, last year.

We can all work toward ending sexual violence by empowering people to develop healthier relationships, assisting victims in assessing the information and supportive services they need, implementing effective interventions and prevention, and discussing safety, healthy relationships and reaching out for help. If you or someone you care about need assistance, call the CARE & HOPE Line at 480-350-8004 or visit tempe.gov/Care7.
