University of Turku among the top universities in 15 disciplines in the QS Rankings by Subject

This year, the QS Rankings by Subject 2025 included more than 5,200 universities. In the ranking, factors such as academic reputation, employer reputation, citations to publications and international research networks contribute to the overall results. The weighting of these criteria varies considerably from one discipline to another. The ranking therefore provides information on the performance and reputation of universities particularly within the disciplinary categories.

The highest ranked disciplines of the University of Turku were Nursing Science, which was ranked 39th, and Dentistry, where the University is among the top 120 universities in the world. In Education, the University was ranked among the top 150 universities, and in Psychology and Geography among the top 250 universities in the world.
