Basketball Courts Will Open for League Play This Summer!

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The Corpus Christi Parks & Recreation Department's Summer 2021 High School Varsity Basketball League is offering online registration now through May 23, 2021. This eight-game season league will be played at the Corpus Christi Gym, 3202 Cabaniss Parkway.

Divisions are divided between boys and girls. Only the first six teams per division will be accepted and each team is limited to 12 players (2021 graduating seniors are not eligible to participate in this league). The season will run from June 7 through the week of July 1, 2021. Girls will play on Monday and Wednesday evenings and boys will play on Tuesday and Thursday evenings.

While this program provides structure and knowledge on the sport of basketball, it also promotes positive attitudes and the importance of adopting a lifestyle with recreational activities. Varsity league players will test their skills as they challenge opposing teams and learn the importance of working together.

New health and safety procedures have been implemented to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Face masks are required in the gym (except while playing the game on the court). Players will have their temperatures taken at the door prior to sign-in. Hand sanitizer will be available. Please do NOT bring your own equipment. Sanitized equipment will be provided by the City.
