Planned Road Work for Mid-Missouri…

May 27 - June 2, 2024

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo.- The following is a list of general highway maintenance and construction work planned in the mid-Missouri area May 27-June 2, 2024.Over the Memorial Day weekend, road work will not take place fromnoon on Friday until 9 a.m. Tuesday, but some work zones include permanent lane restrictions. Weather conditions may postpone scheduled work. Many projects will include lane closures whichcould cause delays.  

All Counties

Moving operations such as pothole patching, brush cutting,and pavement repair continue in various locations. Motorists should travel with care and be alert for slow-moving equipment.   

Boone County

Sontag Drive -Culvert replacement planned May 28 - 29. All lanes will be CLOSED in multiple locations between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route.

Route DD -Culvert replacement planned May 28 - 30 at Biggs Road. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. 

Route E - Roadside work planned May 28- 31from Stadium Boulevard.to Timber Creek Drive. Work is being done by the city of Columbiaunder a MoDOT-issued permitbetween 7a.m. and 5:30p.m. daily.

Missouri Route 124 -Upgrades to pedestrian facilities continue in the city of Hallsville. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.  

Route B -Upgrades to pedestrian facilities continue in the city of Hallsville. One lane will remain open in each direction, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.  

Missouri Route 163(Providence Road) - Pavement repairs continuefromRoute K/Old Plank Roadnorth to Interstate 70. One lane will be closedbetween 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. The project, which includes resurfacing,is scheduled for completion in August 2024.

I-70- Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.  

Callaway County

Route H- Bridge rehabilitation continuesover U.S. Route 54in Fulton. One lane will remain open and temporary traffic signals are in place to guide motorists through the work zone. A 17-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2024.

Camden County

Routes O and EE -Pavement repair planned May 28- 30. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

U.S. Route 54 - Bridge paintingcontinues at the Grand Glaize Arm of Lake of the Ozarks Bridges.Ramp closuresarepossiblefrom U.S. Route 54 to Osage Beach Parkway. Message boards will directmotorists to use an alternate route.The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024.

Missouri Route7 - Road resurfacing continuesfromU.S. Route 65in Benton Countyand progressing south toMissouri Route 5in Camden County. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. Work will be conducted weekdays from 6a.m. to 6 p.m. The project is scheduled for completion in November2024. 

Cole County

Missouri Route 179-Upgrades to pedestrian facilities continuein the city of Jeffersonin multiple locations. One lane will remain open in each direction. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024. 

Cooper County

I-70- Bridge construction continues for the new Rocheport Bridge near mile marker 115. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2024.  

Crawford County

Missouri Route 19 -Pavement repair continues May 28-30from Winn Road to the city limits of Cuba. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route 19 - Shoulder work continues May 28- 30from Grand Road to McCormick Roadand from the city of Cuba to the Gasconade County line. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route8- Shoulder workcontinues May 28- 30from ButtsRoad to Route Y. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route M - Shoulder work continues May 28- 30from Route 8 to Route YY. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route VV - Shoulder work continues May 28- 30from Route M to Route 19. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route J -Core drilling planned May 28- 30. All lanes will beCLOSED at the Boone Creek bridgebetween the hours of 8a.m. and 3 p.m. Motorists will need to seek an alternate route.

I-44- Pavement repaircontinues from just west of Cuba to the Franklin County line.One lane will remain open. The project, which includes resurfacing, is scheduled for completion in July 2024.

Dent County

Missouri Route 19 - Pavement repair planned May 28 - 30 from Missouri Route 68 toRoute TT. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route CC - Pavement repair planned May 28 - 30 from Route C toRoute H. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Gasconade County

Routes D and P - Pavement repair planned May 28 - 30 for the entire route. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.

U.S. Route 50 -Bridge maintenance planned May 28 - 31 at Gasconade River bridge. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

MissouriRoute 19/100 -Bridge maintenance planned May 28 - 31 at Gasconade River bridge. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone. 

Routes Tand V- Road resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.The project is scheduled for completion in June2024. 

Missouri Route28- Road resurfacing continues fromRoute EE in Owensvilleto U.S. Route 50. One lane will remain open, and flaggers with a pilot car will direct motorists through the work zone. Work will be conducted nightlyfrom 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024. 

Laclede County

Route A - Pavement repair planned May 28 from Route W to Missouri Route 32. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route J- Road resurfacing begins May 28. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.The project is scheduled for completion in June 2024. 

Maries County

Route 28 - Pavement repair and roadside work planned May 28- 30for the entire route. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Missouri Route 133 -Culvert replacement planned May 28-30at Route BB. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. 

Routes Z and AA - Pavement repair planned May 28- 30for the entire route. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Miller County

RoutesA, F, HH and JJ-Pavement repair planned May 28- 30.One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones.

Osage County

RoutesD, KK, and OO-Pavement repairplanned May 28- 30. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. 

RoutesEand U- Roadside work continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zones. The project is scheduled for completion in June 2024.

Route Z - Road resurfacing continues. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.The project is scheduled for completion in June 2024. 

Phelps County

Route O -Upgrades to pedestrian facilities continuein the city of Rolla from Missouri Route 72 to Lions Club Drive. One lane will remain open in each direction. The project is scheduled for completion in May 2024. 

I-44 -Road resurfacing and reconstruction continues from Exit 186 in Rolla to Exit 195 in St. James. Expect around-the-clock lane closures from U.S. Route 63 to Missouri Route 68.An 11-foot width restriction is in place. The project is scheduled for completion in late fall 2024.      

Pulaski County

I-44- Bridge rehabilitation continuesat the RoubidouxCreek Bridgenear mile marker 158.4 and the Big Piney River Bridge near mile marker 165.8.The project is scheduled for completion in May2024.

Washington County

Missouri Route 8 - Pavement repair continues May 28 - 30 from Missouri Route 21 to the St. Francois County line. One lane will remain open, and crews will flag traffic through the work zone.

Route A - Bridge replacement beginsMay 28at the Richwoods CreekBridge.The road is CLOSEDto all trafficand motorists will need to seekan alternate route. The project is scheduled for completion in August2024.
