Congratulations on finishing your first few weeks at Boston University, Class of 2028! These past few weeks have probably had you feeling excited, overwhelmed, hopeful, or maybe a little confused in this new realm of independence you've entered. Whatever you may be feeling, trust me, you are not alone, and luckily, we've asked a few seniors for some words of wisdom! First-years, here is some advice from your fellow Terriers via Boston University's new broadcast channel, The BU Broadcast:

Show up to events alone-you don't always need a buddy!

@sophia_caffrey

Try to make at least one friend in every class.

@dyllybowzer

Get that free merch!

@deenasimone

Good things take time to happen! Don't be so hard on yourself.

@kel_101888

Start studying early. Cramming will stress you out.

@haileymarie129

The network you form on campus will stay with you for the rest of your college career.

@rebeccagarciaam

Ask questions! Use the resources you have.

@joyeeelin

If you stay ready, you don't have to get ready. Study actively.

@corndog.sdk

Take care of yourselves first. Be easy. One step at a time. :)

@dr.ovee

Be patient with yourself, frustration is just nearly there.

@pizzotti8

Be nice to your professors! Build a nice relationship with them.

@from_ynnk

Join clubs-it is a great way to make friends

@izabel.cupi

Time management! The better you manage your time, the less overwhelmed you are.

@jad.marrouche

Enjoy the process!

@mandy1.0.1

Plan out your classes wisely.

@amllwi

Make the most of your first year! Everyone is in the same boat.

@leah.schuss

Go find a study spot you love and make it fun. Find a study friend.

@chrissybee926

Make friends, join clubs, see Boston! Study, but there is more to life.

@kohne15

Stay present. The days are long but the years are short.

@hermelahaile

Don't compare yourself to the people next to you; your journey will differ from the next.

@hermelahaile

Get started on things early.

@gchenngg

Sleep is crucial. Once you're sleeping schedule slips up, so can everything else.

@sophia_caffrey

StuVi 26th floor. Awesome study spot. Also, the Dunkin on Buick Street is the best.

@sophia_caffrey

Take a PDP class for credit! There's pilates, sailing, rowing, boxing, dance, tennis, tae kwon do, etc.

@sophia_caffrey

We hope you're feeling a little more settled after reading advice from your fellow Terriers. Cherish your time here at BU because these years will go by fast! Thanks for following along, and have a happy and safe rest of your first year.
