Siam Commercial Bank donates 5,000 trees to enhance greenery along Bang Khun Thian Beach Road in Bangkok

During the inauguration of the scenic Bang Khun Thian Beach Road, a vital economic thoroughfare within Bangkok, Siam Commercial Bank generously contributed 5,000 trees to augment the green expanse. This endeavor is in alignment with Bangkok's ambitious "Planting a Million Trees" initiative, aimed at establishing verdant spaces and dust-filtering barriers throughout the city. Two thousand trees were planted along the central island of the road, spanning an impressive stretch of 11.7 kilometers. The remaining 3,000 trees are earmarked for the Bang Khun Thian District, intended to substantially enhance the district's green cover. Bangkok's Governor, Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, graciously accepted the tree donation from Ms. Araya Phuphanich, First Executive Vice President of CSR Function at Siam Commercial Bank. Notably, this significant occasion saw the active participation of employee volunteers from the "SCB, Let's Do Good" initiative. Together, they joined hands in the collective effort of planting trees along the central road island, further contributing to the creation of an aesthetically pleasing and environmentally friendly ambience for the city of Bangkok.
