Cari White honored with Outstanding Chamber Executive Award

A longstanding leader of the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce was honored at the Arkansas Economic Developers and Chamber Executives Annual Conference on August 29, 2022.

Cari G. White, Executive Vice President at the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce, received the Outstanding Chamber Executive Award at the annual luncheon held in Little Rock.

Cari has more than 30 years of Chamber experience and is responsible for all programs and events and is the director of Leadership Jonesboro, Emerging Leaders, Jr. Leadership and Jonesboro Young Professionals Network. Cari received her Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) designation from the American Chamber of Commerce Executives in 2006.

Cari graduated from Arkansas State University with a degree in Journalism/Public Relations in 1982 and from the Institute for Organizing Management at the University of Oklahoma in 1999. Cari participated in the Delta Leadership Institute (2009) and Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education (2014) and currently serves on the Delta Leadership Network Advisory Council. She has been with the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce since 2000 and prior to that was the Executive Director of the Mountain Home, AR, Area Chamber of Commerce for eleven years.

Cari has served as President of the Arkansas Hospitality Association (2005-2006), Arkansas Chamber of Commerce Executives (2001) and Arkansas Business and Professional Women (1999-2000).

She is currently on the Board of Directors of the Arkansas Travel Center, Keep Jonesboro Beautiful Commission, Downtown Jonesboro Alliance and MAKO Chamber of Commerce Committee and co-chaired this event in 2015.

She is a founding member of the Women's Leadership Center at Arkansas State University. She is a member of Jonesboro Rotary, Forest Home Church of the Nazarene and a member of the A-State Alumni Association. Cari received the Silver Cup Award from the Arkansas Hospitality Association and was inducted into their Hall of Fame in 2009. In 2019, she was selected as a Talk Business & Politics NEA Women in Business Honoree.

Cari plans to retire from the Jonesboro Regional Chamber of Commerce at the end of September.
