President and Justice and Development (AK) Party Chairman Recep Tayyip Erdoğan addressed the party's group meeting at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (GNAT).

President Erdoğan said that those seeking to bypass the national will and ruin the country's future have been thwarted with the strength given by the nation in every election.

Noting that Turkey has ensured the security of its southern borders with its ongoing operations, President Erdoğan said: 'Through many moves from in the Eastern Mediterranean to Libya, Turkey has given the most effective response to the attempts to confine it to its coasts.'

Touching upon the ongoing efforts the clear the Marmara Sea of sea snot, President Erdoğan underlined: 'It is an eternal cause of ours to protect the nature and the environment.'

Stressing that the mucilage problem is being monitored closely, President Erdoğan stated that the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization has taken action immediately to tackle the issue. 'We will take all the necessary steps and clean the Marmara Sea by declaring the whole sea to be a protected area and using state-of-the-art technology in our water treatment plants. We will have completed in three moths our roadmap to find a permanent solution to the mucilage issue.'
