Website disruption and downtime

28 Mar 2023

The council's corporate website will soon look very different as the beta website that's been operating in parallel for the past year becomes the main site.

From 3 April, visitors will be able to access all of the council's webpages on one site.
Unfortunately, the switch over from our older website will mean some disruption to online services, including online payments and waste requests, over Thursday evening, though this will be kept to an absolute minimum.

This essential work requires downtime of our current website (iow.gov.uk) and new council website (beta.iow.gov.uk). Service delivery will be restored as soon as possible.
Those who have already used the beta website will already know that it offers improved features and functionality.
We set out to achieve a website that works on all devices, and is responsive to user needs.
The new-look site will continue to develop and we value any feedback that people may have to enable this to happen.
Please complete the feedback survey on the new council homepage.
Further development of the website will continue as part of normal service, supporting the council's digital strategy and corporate values to support our community digitally.
