Construction Activities Scheduled on Girard Point Bridge and Other State Highways in Philadelphia, Montgomery Counties

King of Prussia PA - The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that various construction activities are scheduled on the Girard Point Bridge and several other state highways in Philadelphia and Montgomery counties.

Motorists are advised of the following travel restrictions:

Philadelphia

  • Tuesday, September 5, through Friday, September 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, alternating lane closures are scheduled on the northbound deck of the Girard Point Bridge between the Enterprise Avenue and the Broad Street interchanges for bridge inspection.

Montgomery County

  • Wednesday, September 6, through Friday, September 8, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Ridge Pike between Fern Avenue and Casswell Avenue in Lower Providence Township for curb work;
  • Monday, September 11, through Wednesday, September 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Highland Avenue between Van Sant Lane and Fort Washington Avenue in Upper Dublin Township for fence replacement; and
  • Monday, September 11, through Wednesday, September 13, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, a lane closure is scheduled on Loch Alsh Avenue between Lewis Lane and Spark Drive in Upper Dublin Township for fence replacement.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because slowdowns may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

These construction activities are part of PennDOT's program to ensure the safety and overall condition of our state highways.
