RWJBarnabas Health Facilities Nationally Recognized by Healthgrades for Quality Across Specialty Care Areas

RWJBarnabas Health Facilities Rank Among the Top 5 Percent of Hospitals in the Nation

West Orange, NJ, November 29, 2022 - RWJBarnabas Health received 32 awards and recognitions from the Healthgrades 2023 Specialty Excellence Awards for superior clinical performance in numerous specialty care areas, including cardiac, critical care, and surgical care.

Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center was named one of Healthgrades America's 100 Best Hospitals for Pulmonary Care™ for 2 years in a row-the only hospital in New Jersey to receive this recognition two years in a row, one of Healthgrades America's 100 Best Hospitals for Cardiac Care™ for 7 years in a row, one of Healthgrades America's 100 Best Hospitals for Gastrointestinal Care™ in 2023, and one of Healthgrades America's 100 Best Hospitals for Gastrointestinal Surgery™ for 3 years in a row.

Additionally, Community Medical Center, Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center, and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital were recognized among the top 5 percent of hospitals in the nation across multiple areas including bariatrics, cardiac, pulmonary, gastrointestinal, critical care, and surgical care. Community Medical Center is the only hospital in New Jersey to earn a Surgical Care Excellence Award in 2023. Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset was recognized among the top 10 percent of hospitals in the nation in cardiac and gastrointestinal care.
