The 3rd China-CEEC Expo will be held in Ningbo from May 16th to 20th

As the only national level foreign-related institutional exhibition for Central and Eastern European countries in China, the 3rd China-CEEC Expo will open in Ningbo on May 16th. This was learned by reporters yesterday from the press conferences of the 3rd China-CEEC Expo and International Consumer Goods Fair, as well as the 24th China Zhejiang Investment and Trade Fair.

According to reports, the 5-day expo will feature the theme of "Deepening Practical Cooperation and Joining Hands for the Future", and will organize 27 important activities such as conferences, forums, economic and trade cooperation, and cultural exchanges, as well as a 220000 square meter trade exhibition. At that time, approximately 290 foreign guests from 12 countries will attend the conference, showcasing the cooperation achievements of China and Central and Eastern European countries.

Compared to previous ones, this year's expo has a more international style. Among them, Hungary will serve as the guest of honor; The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of Serbia will deliver a video speech; The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economy of Hungary, the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Resources of Serbia, and the State Secretary of the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs will attend the meeting on-site; Ambassadors, Consuls General, Public Counselors or Counselors from Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary, Serbia and other countries to China will attend the meeting.

In addition, new events such as the Central and Eastern European Sailing Race, the Women Scientists Forum, and the New Materials Multinational Executive Roundtable will be held in Ningbo for the first time. The exhibition has expanded to European countries such as Germany, Italy, France, Finland, Switzerland, Denmark, and Austria.

In terms of conference activities, this Expo focuses on economic and trade activities, covering multiple fields such as technology, tourism, and health. A total of 27 important events are arranged, including 7 events hosted by national ministries such as the 7th Conference of the China Central and Eastern European Union Chamber of Commerce. These activities will release a series of cooperation results during the Expo.

In terms of exhibition and display, this year's Expo will have three major exhibition areas: Central and Eastern Europe Exhibition, International Consumer Goods Exhibition, and Import Goods Perennial Exhibition. It will present three "firsts", namely the first opening of a new venue, the first use of professional exhibition format, and the first opening of a service trade exhibition area. It is expected that there will be over 3000 exhibitors, over 10000 professional purchasers, and over 10 billion yuan in purchase orders for goods from Central and Eastern Europe, providing more opportunities for enterprises from China and Central and Eastern European countries to "bring in" and "go global".

Compared to previous exhibitions, the exhibits displayed at this expo will be more eye-catching. The Expo will focus on showcasing numerous national brands and characteristic advantageous industries from Central and Eastern European countries, and 14 EU geographical indication products will debut for the first time; Hungarian magic wall display screens and Slovenian skiing equipment will be exhibited in China for the first time. At present, all exhibition booths have been completed and over 8000 registered exhibitors have arrived in Ningbo.

It is reported that during the 3rd China-CEEC Expo, the 24th China Zhejiang Investment and Trade Fair will be held simultaneously. There will be a total of 1 main forum, 6 supporting activities, and over 100 series of investment promotion activities jointly organized by provinces, cities, and counties. Dialogues between governments, enterprises, and institutions will be held, striving to build the Zhejiang International Trade Fair into a "main platform" for opening up and investment promotion in our province.
