Board of Equalization - State Assessor Presentation

Attached is the Board of Equalization (BOE) training presentation from the State of Alaska's State Assessor. This training presentation is typically given to the BOE so that they are informed on what their duty is when they hear appeals from property owners on May 8th, 2023 at 5:30 p.m.

The Assembly will sit as a quasi judicial board, and hear the appeals from property owners who submitted an appeal on their property assessment. Please note that if the appellant (property owner) and the city assessor are able to settle the appeal that the appellant submitted, the appeal will not come before the BOE on May 8th.
