Jordanian universities at the final conference of the JOVITAL project to launch a Position Paper on Virtual Collaborative Learning

Jordanian universities and students, together with European counterparts, the National Erasmus+ Office in Jordan and international practicioners celebrated the JOVITAL project, Jordan opportunity for virtual innovative teaching and learning, through a final online workshop in March. The JOVITAL project has successfully come to an end, after three years of work where it has promoted a comprehensive capacity building programme to facilitate intensive know-how transfer among the consortium members to address the problems of outdated instructor-centred frontal teaching methods, limited physical academic mobility, and ineffective use of ICT in formal higher education in Jordan. No need to say, during the COVID-19 emergency the use of virtual collaborative learning has become even more important.

The project ended with a final online workshopwhich took place on 23 March 2021, showcasing the results and impact of the project in order to facilitate the adoption of the JOVITAL approach within universities in Jordan and other South Mediterranean countries. The Agenda, recording and information about the event can be found on the project website.

The event attracted 109 participants and was the occasion to launch the JOVITAL Position Paperon Virtual Collaborative Learning in Jordan.
