New Castle County - DelDOT Hosts 2024 Student Bridge Design Competition in Wilmington

This event is a hands-on engineering competition aimed to engage students interested in the math, science, and engineering fields. The program is designed to encourage middle school and high school students to address real-world problems and inspire them to consider careers in transportation and civil engineering. 32 middle school and high teams from across the state will be participating in this year's event. The top three finishers at EACH grade-level will receive scholarship money donated by the Delaware Bridge Design Competition Sponsors.

The event begins at 8:00am on Thursday, April 25, 2024, with opening remarks by Secretary of Transportation Nicole Majeski at 9:00am.

The event will be held at the Chase Center on the Riverfront, 815 Justison St., Wilmington, DE 19801
