Construction Market Report Fall 2021

As many have already experienced, the construction industry is experiencing a variety of challenges right now, including increased material prices, continued labor shortages, and major supply chain disruptions.

Although these issues may lend towards a gloomy outlook for construction costs, there is optimism for better conditions as we head into 2022. For example, ports are starting to move towards a 24/7 operating schedule to match the Asian ports sending products to the United States. A continuous schedule will help unclog the current crowded conditions at major ports within the United States.

No single solution will resolve the issues we are experiencing, but there are steps that should lead to some improvements in the current situation including increased collaboration and creativity in our approach in design, means, and methods and find alternative products and systems.
