New Walking Path at Cesar Chavez Park

Published on February 07, 2025

Have you taken a stroll around Cesar Chavez Park lately?

If you are looking for a new place to reach your fitness goals this year, Cesar Chavez Park is the place to be. Recently renovated, the park consists of a granite trail, a connection to Circle Dr, and a new design that provides a loop for walking or running. As part of the park's improvements, new benches have been installed, providing a place to take a break and relax. Along the trail, you will see new installations of exercise pads, for access to quick workouts. Plus, additions of trash and recycling bins to enhance the parks efforts in maintaining it clean.

On Monday, January 27th, City Council approved the acceptance of the Cesar Chavez Park DG Path Project. The acceptance means that the city will take an active role in maintaining the park. Meaning, the city will work on keeping it in great condition for years to come by ensuring it remains clean and fully functional. This is all part of the Alisal Vibrancy Plan and the Park, Recreation and Libraries Master Plan to create parks and open space improvements. Adding exercise stations to promote healthy activity and more trash and recycling bins to help keep the park clean.

So whether you're out for a walk with your pets, a run, or looking to get in some exercise, come take a stroll around Cesar Chavez Park!
