Galician biotech companies GalChimia, CZ Vaccines (del grupo Zendal), Bflow, Libera Bio y Diversa Technologies, will participate with the Cluster Tecnolóxico Empresarial das Ciencias da Vida (Bioga) in Swiss Biotech Day, one of the main meetings in Europe in the life sciences sector where more than 1,800 experts in the field of biotechnology meet..

Likewise, Galician biotech companies and Bioga, will participate in a program of visits to the cities of Basel and Zurich on Wednesday, April 24, to get to know and explore the life sciences ecosystem of the Swiss country and visit the most innovative research centers.

Bioga and the five Galician biotech companies will share a stand at Swiss Biotech Day with the Spanish Association of Biocompanies (Asebio) and the Basque Health Cluster, thanks to the support of the Xunta de Galicia through the Foexga Plan and the Iberobio project that Bioga leads and through which it will represent the cross-border Iberian biotech system and its 13 partners from Galicia, Castilla y León, Extremadura, Andalusia and Portugal.

"We want to be in the places where the future of our sector is being designed, where the latest technologies in the field of life sciences are presented," says Bioga's president, José Manuel López Vilariño, who points out that Swiss Biotech Day serves to "promote and exchange cross-border investments, learn about public-private collaboration models and explore collaborations in research and development and talent exchange, in addition to making progress in possible business deals."

Swiss Biotech Day is a European benchmark in the biotech sector, attracting professionals from the global life sciences community. This 2024 edition will once again provide a platform to network, engage in discussions and explore advances in R&D, manufacturing, data management, artificial intelligence and innovative financing.
