United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) 'will work together' for the livelihoods improvement of the ultra-poor in the port city.

UNDP Bangladesh Resident Representative Stefan Liller and ADB Country Director Edimon Ginting met with the City Mayor, Md Rezaul Karim Chowdhury, at his office on Monday.

During the meeting, they discussed various strategies to tackle poverty and address issues facing the ultra-poor.

CCC Chief Executive Officer Sheikh Mohammed Tauhidul Islam presented an overview of the existing work being done to this end and future areas of cooperation.

Earlier, Liller and Ginting visited activity areas of UNDP's community development committees at Mohra in Ward 5 and Bijoynagar in Ward 9 of CCC.
