After 20 years of living in Hillsboro, Elizabeth Pereira is excited to help community members access HiLight's high-speed internet service and help improve their online experience. We asked Elizabeth to share what makes her work meaningful to her and community members.
I've been married for 20 years; I have two amazing teenage boys and two dogs: a shih-poo and a havapoo. I love to spend quality time with my family and part of that is traveling together to new places.
It means our community members can have reliable and fast internet connectivity, allowing residents to access online resources, educational materials, and job opportunities with greater ease.
Staying connected is so important for our community members to thrive in this digital age. It's just awesome that the City of Hillsboro can provide that for residents.
I really enjoy interacting with community members, assisting them with their needs and building positive relationships. It's satisfying to help customers resolve their service issues and improve their online experience.
I'm also a Spanish speaker, so helping our Spanish-speaking community communicate in their native language is personally rewarding.
We always hope to hear positive feedback regarding the reliability, speed, and affordability of the service. We are always looking for ways to make improvements or gather suggestions that could enhance the overall internet experience for residents.
Ultimately, we aim to gauge overall satisfaction with HiLight and identify any area where adjustments may be necessary to better meet the community's needs and expectations.
The top question by far is: When will HiLight be available in my area? The answer can vary depending on the area of the caller. There are a lot of community members who are looking forward to switching over to HiLight and often times they voice their excitement and anticipation.
As of spring 2024, network construction is nearing completion in the neighborhoods south of TV Highway around Hillsboro High School, Witch Hazel, River Road, Davis Road, and Meadow Oaks. The HiLight network and services will continue to be extended and activated in additional areas of Hillsboro over the coming years.
