L.A. Area Chamber Statement on Governor's Budget Proposal

LOS ANGELES, CA (Jan. 11, 2023) - Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce President and CEO, Maria S. Salinas, issued the following statement in response to Governor Gavin Newsom's budget proposal.

"Gov. Newsom's budget proposal considers the economic uncertainties we are experiencing today and reflects a measured approach. Investments for businesses are wise in a time when many are navigating growth and challenging economic situations. We were pleased to see the Governor identify investments in education, training and workforce development. Given the ambiguous economic forecast, we are ready to work with the Governor to help define an economic plan which spurs regional economic growth.

"As this budget moves towards approval and implementation, we look forward to working with the Governor and state legislature."
