To keep the celebrations going, the Council is holding an additional event-Music Night @ the Pav - on June 21 with Oduor-Noah and Lierberman in concert at the Pavilion following their free artist talk.

Mayor of Waverley, Paula Masselos, said music transcends cultural and linguistic barriers and has the power to bring people together.

"We are delighted to host Greg Poppleton, Lisa Oduor-Noah and Miriam Lieberman at Bondi Pavilion and provide a platform for our local musicians to showcase their talents and create community connections through music," Mayor Masselos said.

Bondi Pavilion Artistic Director, Chris Bendall, said Make Music Day and Music Night @ the Pav is a great way to introduce the community to new sounds and genres, with a focus this year on women artists in the world music field.

"Music is a universal language through which we celebrate diversity and find common ground through a shared love of music and storytelling," Mr Bendall said.
