Football park to be built on Yangcheng Lake Peninsula

A signing ceremony for major cultural tourism projects on the Yangcheng Lake Peninsula in Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP) was held on Sept. 15. Among the projects, the Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Football Park has attracted much attention. With 5 high-standard waterfront grass football fields, the park will, among others, host football matches, offer football training sessions for youngsters, and organize sports and cultural exchange activities.

The Yangcheng Lake Peninsula Football Park is expected to open to the public around Jan. 1, 2024. The project covers an area of 108.6 mu (72,400 square meters), with a total investment of 265 million yuan. It is close to the Chongyuan Temple, a famous scenic spot in SIP.
