KILBY CORRECTIONAL OFFICER ARRESTED
MONTGOMERY, Ala. - On Monday, February 26, 2024, the Alabama Department of Corrections (ADOC) Law Enforcement Services Division (LESD) arrested a correctional officer from the Kilby Correctional Facility. Mario Grant was charged with Use of Official Position for Personal Gain and Conspiracy to Commit Controlled Substance Crime. He was transported the Montgomery County Jail.
A search warrant was served on his residence resulting in the arrest of his wife Carole Grant. She was charged with Conspiracy to Commit Controlled Substance Crime.
Grant has resigned his position with the ADOC. The LESD investigation is ongoing and further charges may be pending.
