Two Norton Rose Fulbright partners selected as ‘Top 100 Lawyers’ by the Los Angeles Business Journal

Los Angeles partners Debbie Birndorf-Zeiler and Helen Kim have been named to Los Angeles Business Journal's annual Top 100 Lawyers list.

The list recognizes the leading lawyers in the region for their legal achievements, contributions to the profession and impact on the local community.

Birndorf-Zeiler represents employers in all aspects of employment law, including defense of harassment and discrimination claims, wage claims, wage and hour class actions, Labor Code Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA) claims, disability claims and misappropriation of trade secrets. She also provides counselling, drafts and reviews employment contracts, severance agreements, employee handbooks and personnel policies.

Birndorf-Zeiler is active in the Los Angeles community, serving on the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and co-chairing the Saturday Seminar Program Committee. She also teaches Legal Aspects of Employee Relations at UCLA Extension as part of the HR Certificate Program.

Kim is a trial lawyer with more than 30 years of experience in securities and other complex commercial litigation. She represents companies and their directors, officers and principal shareholders before the courts and in arbitration proceedings. In addition, Kim defends clients in shareholder derivative suits, nationwide securities class actions and securities and commodities enforcement proceedings.

A champion of diversity and an advocate in the legal industry, Kim is a past president of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association, the voice of the Asian-American legal community. Among other notable leadership roles, she is also a former president of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, where she was the first Asian-American woman to lead that organization. Kim is slated to assume the position of President of the Chancery Club of Los Angeles this September.

Honorees were selected by the Los Angeles Business Journal's editorial department based on nominations and demonstrated achievements. The "Top 100 Lawyers" were celebrated at an awards event in April and will be featured in the April 22 edition of the publication.
