The theme of this year's TCEA Convention and Expositionis "Passionate Educators. Limitless Possibilities." The TCEA Convention is a yearly event devoted to connecting educators who have different roles, responsibilities, expertise, and skills for a dynamic learning experience spread across four days, January 30 - February 2, 2023, in San Antonio, Texas. Educators can choose from over 700 sessions on a variety of topics including STEAM, project-based learning, school safety, digital citizenship, and more.
In addition to informative sessions and featured speakers, educators can visit the Exhibit Hall and explore hundreds of educational technology solutions that support engaged and interactive learning, and campus communication and safety. Boxlightwill be there with our family of brands - Mimio, MimioSTEM, Clevertouch® Technologies, and FrontRow. Each brand will feature their award-winning solutions including interactive technology, comprehensive STEM curriculum, 3D printing for schools and makerspaces, audio for campus and classroom, and school safety solutions. Of interest is Attention! - a technology solution that enhances campus communication via both audio and visual means.
Attention!technology works in combination with the FrontRow Conductor system, the CleverLive cloud management platform, and either the MimioPro 4 or IMPACT Max (Clevertouch Technologies) interactive displays to provide schools with a comprehensive and effective communication solution. Administrators can share general school and event information, updates to schedules and meetings, and broadcast emergency alerts.
For more on Attention! watch this short video:
Attention! Is an excellent solution to meet Texas School Safety Standards (for more on the proposed rule, click here). This includes a silent alert system that can be triggered manually so that administrators, law enforcement, and staff is made aware of a critical safety event. Texas has proposed funding to help schools and learning institutions implement campus safety and protection requirements, and Boxlight can help with this process. Boxlight has an in-house Grants Assistance Program (GAP) that will help district/school teams navigate the grants application process including but not limited to understanding the requirements, aligning products and solutions, and managing the materials needed for the application. For more information on GAP, click here.
All our solutions include teacher training and professional development to help educators implement their new technology competently and confidently. EOS Educationoffers in-person, online, and self-paced courses to help all on campus build their skills through practice, feedback, and application.
To highlight the importance of effective campus communication, Boxlight will offer a free license of the CleverLiveplatform for TCEA attendees that sign-up and participate in an Attention! demonstration.* CleverLive enables users to share content to classroom and campus interactive displays. Administrators can broadcast messages using a selection of customizable templates for any purpose - school announcements, bus or lunch menu changes, weather alerts, and more.
For educators interested in hands-on and innovative STEM lessons and activities, MimioSTEM will offer a free 30-day trial of MyStemKits STEM curriculum. MyStemKits is provides teachers with lessons, activities, Design Challenges, and assessment materials for more engaging teaching and learning experiences. MyStemKits lessons are available for 3D printing, portable sensor technology, and robotics and are aligned to TEKS math and science standards.
