Five arrested following Moe shooting

Armed Crime Squad detectives are investigating a shooting in Moe last night.

Officers have been told a man sustained a gunshot wound during an altercation between two groups of men at a Hawker Street address about 8.15pm.

The 28-year-old man was taken to hospital with critical injuries.

Five men have been arrested and are assisting investigators with their enquiries.

A crime scene has been set-up while detectives investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

At this early stage in the investigation, police believe the parties were known to each other.
