Twenty years after the international conference B.L.U.E. (Biomedicine Lifesaving Underwater Education), which inspired the establishment of the Master's of II level in Underwater and Hyperbaric Medicine "Piergiorgio Data" at the Sant'Anna School of Advanced Studies in collaboration with the Institute of Clinical Physiology of the CNR in Pisa, it is now time to project into the future to continue to make the health of aquanauts around the world safer. New challenges and perspectives in the training of diving and hyperbaric physicians in the European and Mediterranean area will be the focus of an international study day titled "From B.L.U.E. 2005 to the 10th edition of the PG Data Master: 20 years of activity and future perspectives" scheduled for Tuesday, May 7, at the Domina Coral Bay in Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt, under the patronage of the Italian Embassy in Cairo.

The event enriches the program of practical diving and hyperbaric activities that will engage all PG Data Master's Student Doctors from May 5th to 12th.

"We are already looking to the future. The year 2025 will see the inauguration of the 10th edition of our PG Data Master's program, and we would not want to be found unprepared. Investing in innovation is also necessary in higher education, and that is why we decided to meet again, together with our Alumni, some of the B.L.U.E. experts in underwater and hyperbaric medicine, and to compare ourselves with those who take care of the health of those who work at sea, such as the doctors of the Italian contingent of the Multinational Force & Observers in South Sinai. Educating doctors of the sea in safety management remains a training priority of our Master's program in the near future as well", so says Vincenzo Lionetti, Director of the PG Data Level II Master's program.
