City Announces Holiday Trash Schedule and End of Yard Waste Season

November 23, 2022 - The City of South Bend announces the upcoming holiday trash pickup schedule as well as the end-of-season schedule for yard waste.

Trash Schedule
Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, Thursday's trash and yard waste collection will be delayed by one day. Areas with scheduled pickup on Thursday, November 24 will now be picked up on Friday, November 25.

Yard Waste Program
The City's yard waste program is approaching its end of season. The 2022 program will run through Thursday, December 1.

Even though weekly yard waste pickups end December 1, residents can still schedule one free monthly yard waste extra pickup of up to 10 30-gallon biodegradable paper bags by submitting an online form at southbendin.gov/ywextrapickup or calling 311. Residents can also drop off yard waste to the City's Organic Resources facility, located at 4340 Trade Drive, for a nominal fee.
